Taking action against the bribery of two police officers

A police officer and his police assistant were sentenced on October 13th by the Parliament Court for taking bribes of 4,000 ringgit, saying that they would release two (2) Thai women who were arrested and detained in December 2010.

Police officer Mohd Azul Mat Jubin (26) and his assistant police officer Mohd Fitri Hayat Ahamd (23) were reportedly charged despite pleading not guilty.

The case is because the businessman, Chin Chen Seng, who was arrested on December 18, 2010, agreed to be released and accepted 4,000 Malaysian ringgit.

The two were charged by the Criminal Investigation Police Department in Sri Kembangan on December 24 last year. It was reported that Judge M. Bakri Abd Majid fined Azul and Mohd Fitri (2) 5,000 each.
