Penalty imposed on the person who sent indecent messages from the mobile phone

An unemployed man who sent inappropriate text messages to a 23-year-old woman's phone was ordered by the court on September 18 to pay 100 ringgit.

Mohammed Kira Bahareddin, 45, has pleaded guilty to charges of sending sexually suggestive messages to a woman's mobile phone.

Judge Hafiza Suni said that if the male offender is unable to pay the fine, he will be imprisoned for 1 month.

The case will continue to be handled by Nomawani, who is an assistant government attorney. It is known that there are allegations that the amount of the fine is too low and the perpetrator will not repent.
