Confirmation of deportation from UNHCR

The spokesman of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Malaysia said about the issue of the refugees in Malaysia that all the holders of UNHCR-recognized documents and cards will not be sent back to their home countries if they enter the 6P project in Malaysia.

The Malaysian government also reaffirmed that all refugees with documents and cards recognized by UNHCR will be allowed to continue living in their existing status.

Although the 6P project for illegal workers is underway, the Ministry of Interior has announced that it will soon continue to implement the project for all legal workers.

UNHCR's Yante said, "This case is a significant opportunity between UNHCR and the Malaysian government."

Note. . This news was announced today by Free Malaysia Today. However, UNHCR said that refugees who hold a UN card should contact their relevant organization and monitor the situation for sure. The 6P fingerprint registration period for refugees is still valid until mid-September. Because they do not want to accept refugees in Malaysia, they are only bringing them to the 6P fingerprint registration, and the UNHCR has only stated that the Malaysian government has already arranged for the refugees to register with the 6P fingerprints during this period, and the UNHCR itself has suspended its approval.
